Rob and Jo were married in Auckland at St Matthews in the City Church, on the 15th January 2005.
One of Jo and Robs great loves is travelling. They have enjoyed trips to Europe, the UK, the USA, the Caribbean, and have travelled extensively around Australia whilst living there, and also around New Zealand.
They moved back to live permanently in Auckland in November 2007, after nearly seven years living in Sydney. Eight weeks later they welcomed their first child, a daughter, Isabella Eve Vautier, born on 31st December 2007. Isabella is now 14 months old.

1761 John Walkley stayed in Birmingham, he met Sheila Joyce Booth (known as Joyce) around 1958/59 and they married in Harborne in 1961. They moved to Warley, 6 miles or so outside of Birmingham where they had 4 children, David in 1964, Anne Claire and Janet Susan in 1968 and myself Carol Mary in 1970. My Father is still alive and we hope to meet up with Liz and her sister Jill in the near future at Walkley Woods.

I'll email you again with the documents and photos of family, past and present soon.

I realise it may be a long shot, but if you know any more about Arthur I'd loved to hear it and how he ended up marrying someone from Australia.

I'm now going to try to get my head around all of the information I now know and work out who is who in the Walkley Family.

Kind regards

Carol

It says that he was a grand-son of Ada Amelia Walkley, born 16/10/1881 who died 19/5/1969. We are not sure as to whether Ada was a WALKLEY or whether she married a WALKLEY, WHICH WOULD HELP TO IDENTIFY JULIAN EDWARD LLOYD.

1792 Laurel Millett was born and lived in Waiuku, a South Auckland rural town until leaving High School. She then went to live in Onehunga and commenced her working life in a city office. Music was a big part of her life and she travelled back to her home every weekend to give piano lessons. As well as this she was preparing to sit further examinations and Dora Walkley offered the use of the family piano for her to practise so it was inevitable that she should meet John Walkley.
John and Laurel married on 18 Feb 1961 at St Davids Church Khyber Pass Rd. Their first born Stuart John one year later on 11 Feb 1962 and a second child Christopher Bruce three years later on 30 Jan 1964
John was employed as a grocer in a local store, he studied and obtained his own business under the IGA scheme. This first shop was at Ashley Ave Mangere East so the family moved there and rented a home close to the business.
The business was a successful venture it was a popular place for shoppers and the family made many friends. In 1967 Stuart was enrolled as a pupil at Robertson Rd Primary School school and a third son Bevan Ross was born. At that time there was only limited pre school education available so John and some other fathers combined their skills and were successful in building a Play centre.
The Mangere business was sold and in 1969 the family moved and bought another grocery business at 181 Pt Chevalier Rd. John and Laurel became very involved with the local Primary School in Te Ra Rd where the boys were pupils. John served on the School Committee and Laurel on the PTA. Later the business was sold and a home bought in the area.
Two years after this John and Laurel separated.
John became a Taxi driver and at a later date bought his own Taxi Licence. Laurel commenced work in an Accountants office where she worked for many years.
Stuart after leaving High School worked for Telecom, he later went to work in Australia then returned to NZ and is now living in America where he shares custody of his daughter Camryn Danielle Walkley.
Chris left school and worked in NZ then Australia for a number of years before returning to NZ. He is married to Kristina nee Kuk a lovely girl from Macedonia. They own their own home and have one child Luke Jossip Walkley.
Bevan after leaving school commenced his working life and met Claire Erceg a lovely girl working in the firms office. At a later stage they went off to England where they worked and toured. Upon their return to NZ they returned to the work force bought property and now have two children Kyle Dominic Walkley and Zara Caitlin Walkley
Laurel still lives in Pt Chevalier, John lives in Te Atatu.
The years have passed and many events have shaped their lives. Because of their family and the passing years they are now friends.
