    • Jack died when he was young. Bill [William] Ward, Jocelyn's father, never met his uncle.
    • Despite the above note I haven't been able to find a matching Lincolnshire death record for John William Ward for before mid 1950s. This would make him at least 70-ish. We know he was alive in 1939, aged 58.
