- Extract from an email from Barbara Ward, wife of Raymond Ward.
"There was something else that your Dad said to do with the falling out between George (Canada) and his Dad. I know George and Rene looked after their Mum when she was very ill and I think she was with them above their hairdresser's salon on the Broadway. George considered that his Dad was seeing Auntie Sue whilst his wife was very ill and this caused words between George and his Dad. I don't obviously know the truth of this but it was the reason why George was cut out of his Dad's will. Ray told me that he and his siblings offered to make up George's share from their own but George said No, and to let his father's wishes stand."
Jane Ward noted that George Ward emigrated to Canada.
- He emigrated to Canada. Lorraine Shepherd says he had 2 boys before they emigrated. One of his children must be Ian Ward who left a comment on my blog that George Ward was his grandfather (he has a .ca email address)
