  	According to Doug, the move was made when Mattie was eight years old - hence my estimate of the date of the move. The first house occupied was a narrow house, near St Pauls School. Two rooms down, a narrow staircase, and two rooms up, a double storied house. This was the first house that John and Christina occupied after leaving Ti Point. PS: I've just had a look at a pair of candidate houses, immediately to the east of the boundary of the St Paul School on Richmond Rd, presently house numbers 179 and 177. I wonder of they're on an electoral roll that shows their occupancy of either of these houses?

  	The grave stone, at O'Neills Point Cemetery, Bayswater Ave, Bayswater, Auckland: In Loving Memory of John Smith died 1 December 1936 aged 82 years and his beloved wife Christina died 21 st April 1938 aged 76 years. This gravestone is on the east boundary, about 37 plots from the road. Jessica Morrison's family tree gives 15 May 1936 as the date of death.
