    • Educated at Parnell Primary and St Benedicts. Known as a munitions worker. He was killed as a soldier of war at Solom. Tobruk..29th. Nov.1941 (buried pt 175 Nd plot 2 row 5) Also listed by NZ Military Forces base record as being buried in the Military Cemetery, Acroma, Cyrenaica. The grave is number 17, in plot six, row H. (as stated Sept 1944) Private no. 22559 21st Auckland Battalion. 5th Infantry Brigade. Killed at age 22.
