Notes - Maud or "Maudie" [14 years 9 months] as she was called at school, was in attendance with her younger sister Mary Ward [13 years 10 months] on January 31, 1928 at the opening of the new KAKARAMEA Primary School located at the top of the hill, where the buildings still remain today 2008. Both girls were in the Standard V! class - their teacher was Mr Harre.
