- CS Clarke notes on August 27th that Old Mrs Haskell died last night. This is probably the most reliable source, so I will use this for date of death.
- Original death date was entered as 9 Sep 1901 by Alvin. Source Iris Chitty.
See note below about Cyrus Haskell's probate. - Found her in BDM with surname "Harkell".
Aged 81. - And yet her date of death is given as the 9th of September in Cyrus Haskell's probate (in an affidavit added some years later).

This is the date the death was registered (CS Clarke's notes in his diary). It's most likely the date must have been confused with her death date as some stage. - Obituary (Rodney and Otamatea Times, 30 August 1901) says she was one of the original Nova Scotian settlers who came to Waipu where she resided for many years. It also says she was 83, which is probably wrong.

Notes - Notice that Ann has the same name as one of her younger sisters. There was a daughter who died in infancy, whom Rosa talked of. She is 18 in the file c:\a\geneal\2famils\3mathes\matheson.doc
- 980220. Iris Chitty has a book with the fly leaf inscribed: 'Ann Haskell (nee) Matheson, Cape Breton Island 1865'. The book was published 1861. I think it's Bunyan's Prilgrim's Progress.
